The Experimental Transmission of a Virus Causing Hypergammaglobulinemia in Mink: Sources and Modes of Infection

Abstract
An agent causing hypergammaglobulinemia (Aleutian disease) of mink was transferred through 12 serial mink passages. This agent was present in whole blood, serum, bone marrow, spleen, feces, urine, and saliva, but not in colostral milk. The agent was infective per os in the form of feces or spleen and as an aerosolized spleen suspension.
