Weitere tumorhemmende Verbindungsklassen, III. Cytostatische Effekte von Imidazolthion-(2)und dessen Derivaten

Abstract

2-Imidazolthione and some of its derivatives inhibit the growth of the ascites carcinoma and sarcoma 180 of the mouse, and the Walker carcilnosarcoma and the Yoshida sarcoma of the rat. Incorporation studies with 14C-labelled ''thymidine, uridine and leucine in ascltes carcinoma cells in vitro and in vivo showed that 2-imidazolthione and its cytostatlcally active derivatives exert a selective and very marked inhibition of the incorporation of thymldlne. The preparation of 30 hitherto undescribed derivatives of 2-imidazolthione is described.
