Abstract
A method for isolating and cultivating thermophilic actinomycetes. Ludox, a colloidal, silica preparation, is adjusted to pH 7.0 with 50% HC1. This is mixed in equal quantities with a liquid medium consisting of soybean meal 4%, tryptic digest casein 2%, glucose 2%, NaCl 2%. These 2 solutions are sterilized separately before adjusting. Pour into Petri dishes 20 to 40 ml per plate and place in 60[degree]C incubator to dry. Inoculate plates by mixing inoculum just before incubation or atomize culture on surface of plate. Keywords
