Deuteron-induced reactions of low Q-value show strikingly good stripping patterns at low deuteron bombarding energy (less than 2 Mev). High Q-values lead to bad stripping patterns. This is became, with a low Q-value, stripping can take place when the stripped nucleon is remote from its partner in the deuteron, and is therefore free from disturbing interactions.
