Rotational analysis of ν6 of DCF3 and ν3 + ν6 of HCF3

Abstract
Experimental data of moderately high resolution for the ``pseudoparallel'' bands ν6 of DCF3 and ν3+ν6 of HCF3 are reported. Analysis of ν6 is straightforward and results in values of ν0, α 6 C and the conclusion that q 6>0. ν3+ν6 is perturbed by Fermi resonance with ν5. Analysis in this case yields values of ν0, α 3,6 C , the anharmonic potential constant |k 356| and the conclusion q 6>0. The effect of this Fermi resonance on the J = 1←0 pure rotational spectrum of HCF3 is discussed.
