Effects of B-Diethylaminoethyl Xanthene 9-Garboxylate Methobromide (Banthine) on Human Gastrointestinal Function.

Abstract

Oral admn. of banthine in 10 patients resulted in a reduction of the volume of gastric secretion without alteration of gastric acidity. A prompt and marked diminution of gastric and small intestinal motility was observed.
