The Hill Reaction: Development of Chloroplast Activity During Greening of Etiolated Barley Leaves

Abstract
The ability of chloroplast material, formed in etiolated barley seedlings during different periods of illumination, to carry out a modified Hill reaction (reduction of 2, 6-dichlorobenzenone-indophenol) is directly proportional ([plus or minus] 8%) to the chlorophyll content of the material.
