Abstract
In a recent Letter Schroeer and Triftshäuser offered a reinterpretation to the extensive data on cobaltous oxide by the present authors. We show herein that a careful examination of the microcrystal model proposed by Schroeer and Triftshäuser does not, in fact, account for the main observation on cobaltous oxide. Keywords
