Abstract
Alloxan causes pulmonary edema in anesthetized dogs by a local action in the lungs. Measurements of blood pressures, flow, vascular resistance and blood volume of intact and perfused lungs suggest that the initiation of edema is due to capillary congestion brought about by constriction of Pulmonary veins. Keywords
