Abstract
Phonon spectrum of copper has been calculated by using Bailyn's total effective matrix element for the electron-phonon interaction. The results show that the agreement with the neutron-scattering results, specific heat, and elastic constant is better than that obtained with Toya's matrix element. Keywords
