Abstract
Radin seeds 1.4 mm. in diam., up to 1 mm. long and of 1-2 millicuries in strength, screened by 0.5 mm. of platinum, are applied at 7-mm. intervals over the site of an intraocular neoplasm. A dose of at least 3500 r should be obtained at the apex of the growth. This is the point which receives the minimum radiation. This method of therapy is very effective in cases of glioma retinae which are limited to one quadrant of the globe. It is of some value in certain cases of malignant melanomata of the choroid.
