A Case of Symmetrical Muscular Contractures due to Sarcoidosis

Abstract

Sarcoidosis of the skeletal muscles testified by muscle biopsies have been reported only 24 times in the literature. Disseminated lesions were found in all of these cases. A comprehensive review of the known cases is given in Powell's report from 1953. The following case is interesting because of the symmetrical distribution of the muscular lesions and of the pronounced contractures.
