Formation of Sr2SiO4 and SrSiO3 from Strontium Silicate Hydrate Prepared by the Alkoxy Method

Abstract
Sr2SiO4 and metastable SrSiO3 were formed directly at low temperatures from 3SrO·2SiO2·3H2O prepared by the alkoxy method. The transformation of metastable into stable SrSiO3 was observed at 900–980 °C. A kinetic study was made on the formation of Sr2SiO4.
