Basophils, Eosinophils and Histamine in the Bone Marrow of the Guinea Pig

Abstract
After the daily subcutaneous injection of horse plasma into guinea pigs, the bone marrow, which developed an increased number of basophils, was treated with hydrochloric acid. The histamine reaction of the centrifuged fluid was proportional to the number of basophiles, but no correlation with the eosinophil number was evident.
