Abstract
Earlier claims that met-Hb prepared with K3Fe(CN)6 is reduced by ascorbic acid more rapidly than met-Hb made with NaN02 are shown to be due to the catalytic effect of K4Fe(CN)6 present in prepns. of the former. The reaction is also catalyzed by simple salts of Fe and Cu; its course is described by the equation for a bi-molecular reaction. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
