Abstract

The reactivities of RhCI(PPh₃)₃, RhCl(PPh₃)₂, and Rh₂Cl₂(PPh₃)₄ toward H₂, and the contributions of each of these species to the overall rate of hydrogenation of RhCl(PPh₃)₃ in solution, have been determined; RhCl(PPh₃)₂ is at least 10⁴ times as reactive as the other two species.
