Abstract
Adenosine triphosphate (ATP), adenosine diphosphate (ADP), uridine triphosphate (UTP), uridine diphosphate (UDP), and uridine 5'-phosphate have been identified in extracts of pea seedlings. It has been shown that the y phosphate-group of the ATP isolated reacts with phosphokinase enzymes in a manner similar to that of ATP extracted from muscle and yeast. A compound which is probably a dinucleotide of adenosine and guanosine has also been identified in the extracts from pea seedlings.
