Abstract
To test the hypothesis that complement[C]-mediated cell lysis and cell-mediated cytotoxicity operate by analogous mechanisms, cell membranes from 2 [human] antibody-dependent cytotoxicity [ADCC] systems were examined by EM after negative staining. Ring-shaped membrane lesions generally similar to but larger than those described for C lysis were observed. This is in agreement with recent measurements of larger functional pores for ADCC than C.This publication has 19 references indexed in Scilit:
