Healthy human volunteers (14) were given Theo-Dur or Nuelin Depot 250 mg b.i.d. [twice daily] in a cross-over study. Almost identical plasma concentrations of the bronchodilator theophylline were found after both preparations, as assessed from plasma level measurements performed before intake and on several occasions up to 12 h after intake of the 9th dose.
