Abstract

Serum contains 28% Mg which is non-dialyzable. More Mg is found in the dialyzate when serum is dialyzed against a physiological solution of NaCl if the reaction is acid than if it is alkaline. The Mg content of cerebrospinal fluid is greater than that of serum.
