Abstract
Recent data on observations of direct leptons produced in proton-proton collisions are analyzed. It is found that the large bulk of the data can be accounted for if the origin of the leptons is a low-mass, , vector meson which decays weakly into and symmetrically. The proposed object is produced and decays with a cross section times branching ratio of of the pion production cross section.
