Abstract
In an investigation of an increase in febrile illness at the Homebush abattior, Sydney, 28 (44%) of 63 patients examined showed serological evidence of recent infection, and a further 13 (21%) gave a positive result to the complement-fixation test in low titer. In a control group of 50 healthy workers, five (10%) gave a positive response to the complement fixation test. Keywords
