Reactions of keten. Part I. Kinetics of the gas-phase reaction with acetic acid

Abstract
The addition of keten to acetic acid to give acetic anhydride is a homogeneous bimolecular gas-phase reaction between 106 and 215°C. The reaction is first-order in keten and in acid monomer and k= 105·81 exp (–46,260/-RT) l mol–1 s–1.
