Abstract

Reaction of C₆₀Cl₆ with benzene/FeCl₃yields C₆₀Ph₅Cl which is readily reduced to C₆₀Ph₅H, the main product of reacting C₆₀ with Br₂/FeCl₃/benzene; both compounds have been characterised by NMR spectroscopy.
