Abstract
Experiments in vitro showed that the production of acids in glucose-saliva mixtures depends considerably upon the PO2 of the mixture. At low PO2 the production of acids is much increased. It is suggested that in relevant expts. the question as to whether there is more or less contact with air should be taken into consideration. Keywords
