Response of deep detectors to extraterrestrial neutrinos

Abstract
We calculate the rate of upward muons induced by an arbitrary spectrum of and ν, including effects of the W propagator in the relevant charged-current cross sections. The results can be used to infer a parent-neutrino rate from an observed signal of upward muons.
