Abstract
Patients treated a year previously with griseofulvin were examined to estimate the relapse rate. Practically no relapses were found. Eleven patients with onychomycosis were not completely cured despite one year''s treatment with griseofulvin. The cause of these failures was sought Dosage, duration of treatment, resistance, superimposed circulatory disorders, and the accompanying local treatment were considered, notably elimination of areas of affected skin (especially extraction of the nails).
