Abstract
6 to 24 injns. of ampuled sterile 2% solns. of [gamma]-(p-arsenosophenyl)-butyric acid, each dose varying between 0.8 and 1.5 ml., sterilized and cured early cases of human trypanosomiasis within 2 wks. or less, without marked side reactions. The drug was active against trypanosome strains resistant to tryparsamide and other arsenicals. The results were discouraging in late cases. The compd. was effective with sheep and horse but not with cattle trypanosomiasis. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
