Abstract
Relations are developed, based on principles formulated in a previous paper [See Biol. Absts. 2/3 Entry 2772] from which can be calculated "ideal" angles for the free branching of arteries and veins (as in a lung). The deductions, based on economy of work, are claimed to agree more nearly with observation than does the "Law of Hess," which is based on economy of fall in pressure.
