Abstract
Photic stimulation accompanying routine clinical EEGs provides useful correlating data. Of the 1326 patients studied the results of photo stimulation were helpful in at least 15% of the abnormal cases and in an additional 6% with bilateral abnormalities the data provided evidence for the side maximally involved. No degree of driving was seen in 33% of all records while 29% showed good or excellent driving. It is suggested that correlation of photic responses and EEG abnormalities become a routine procedure. Keywords
