Abstract
The cells of the islets in a normal animal are at different stages of functional activity, and this is true even for groups of cells in the same islet. The most definite and uniform change in activity has been observed in pregnancy, when the islet cells are particularly active. A similar, but less uniform and less definite, change has been found after exposure to heat. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
