ZUSAMMENSETZUNG DES ÄTHERISCHEN ÖLS VONMENTHA PIPERITAIM VERLAUF DER ONTOGENESE UND VERSUCHE ZUR BEEINFLUSSUNG DER ÖLKOMPOSITION

Abstract

An Hand gaschromatographischer Untersuchungen wurden die Verhältnisse der ölzusammensetzung von Menlha piperita–Pflanzen analysiert. Dabei wurde untersucht: Aus den Versuchsergebnissen läßt sich ableiten, daß die ölkomposition a) vom absoluten Alter der Blätter und b) vom Zeitpunkt innerhalb der Vegetationsperiode abhängt, wobei starke Unterschiede auftreten. Mit zunehmendem Alter der Blätter steigt der Anteil stärker hydrierter Verbindungen, während sich im Verlauf der Vegetationsperiode bei der Zusammensetzung der primär sezernierten öle ein höherer Anteil stärker ungesättigterer Verbindungen zeigt. The influence of different factors modifying the composition of essential oil of Mentha piperita was studied by gas chromatography. The following causes of variation were investigated: The following conclusions were reached: The composition of the essential oil of Mentha piperita L. is very variable. The absolute age of the leave and the moment of collection are the main causes of variability of fresh leaves: With increasing age of the leave the amount of hydrogenated compounds in the oil (for instance menthol versus menthon) increases. Young leaves contain increasingly greater amounts of more highly unsaturated compounds in the oil as they develop later in the growth period.
