Abstract
In a former paper (Baylis, 1944) an account was given of some observations on the life-history of Mermis nigrescens, and of its occurrence, naturally and experimentally, in earwigs (Forficula auricularia). As stated in that paper, the material then available did not seem to warrant an attempt to describe the larval development. Further material has now been obtained and studied, and it seems desirable to place on record some of the observations made, although many points still remain obscure. Keywords
