Familial Occurrence of Gilles de la Tourette Syndrome

Abstract

Two cases of Gilles de la Tourette syndrome occurring in a man and his son represent the first time this condition has been reported in two closely related family members. The history of this syndrome and diagnostic criteria are reviewed. Genetic, constitutional, and dynamic factors contributing to etiology are discussed critically.
