Abstract
Off‐lattice nonintersecting rings of up to 99 bonds were generated by Monte Carlo methods. It was found that the mean square radius of gyration varies as N1.24, N being the number of bonds. The distribution function from the center of mass which is Gaussian for unperturbed rings is distorted to a non‐Gaussian form as a result of interactions. The pair distribution function, however, retains its unperturbed functional form to a high degree of accuracy, after perturbation by repulsive forces. Keywords
