Abstract
The two basic structural units of condensed prodelphinidin polymers have been defined by generation of the C-4 carbocations, corresponding in stereochemistry to (+)-gallocatechin (1) and (–)-epigallocatechin (2), and trapping them as their phloroglucinol adducts (4) and (7). Two naturally occurring dimeric prodelphinidins with stereochemistry based on that of gallocatechin have also been isolated. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
