Abstract
Bandwidth‐limited pulses of 16 ps duration, 1W peak power, and a time‐bandwidth product value of ΔνΔt=0.36 are obtained from an actively mode‐locked, angled‐stripe GaAlAs cw diode laser. A synchronized streak camera measures the pulse durations and allows continuous monitoring and optimization of the mode locking process. Keywords
