ACCELERATED APPEARANCE OF DCA HYPERTENSION IN RATS TREATED WITH PITRESSIN1

Abstract
The delay in onset of diastolic hypertension following treatment with DCA can be largely abolished by the concurrent administration of small doses of pitressin. Conversely, the delay is exaggerated by previous neurohypophyscal denervation. These observations support the view that the rate of development of DCA hypertension is inversely related to the efficiency of compensatory neurohypophyseal inhibition.
