Abstract
Rats fed protein-free amino acid rations developed hypertrophied and severely fatty livers under the stress of lactation. After lactation the concentration of liver lipids decreased. When lactation of rats was supported by an adequate diet some hypertrophy of the liver was observed but the lipid content of the liver decreased. Keywords
