Device to Control Constriction of Main Renal Artery for Production of Hypertension in Small Animals.

Abstract

For the production of experimental renal hypertension in the rat, an instrument has been devised which permits accurate control of the degree of constriction of the main renal artery produced by means of a silver clip. This has facilitated the production of hypertension in a large percentage of the animals.
