Abstract
Bovine aortas were separated into 2 layers, an inner layer composed chiefly of intima and an outer layer composed of adventitia and most of the media. A greater concentration of acid mucopolysaccharides, especially of the chondroitin sulfuric acid group, was found in the inner layer of the aorta. Keywords
