Parentally given chlorpromazine induced a normal follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) amenorrhea in a high proportion of cases studied. Chlorpromazine in doses of 350 to 400 mg parenterally, induced both amenorrhea and galactorrhea with high FSH titers. Psychic changes following this medication point to a hypothalamic effect of chlorpromazine.
