Abstract
A membrane electrode selective for sulfide and silver ion has been described. No interferences were found for sulfide ion measurements, and only mercuric ion had a measurable interference with silver ion. Other characteristics of this electrode which are evaluated include speed of response and temperature coefficients. The use of the silver sulfide membrane electrode as an end-point detector in potentiometric titrations under oxidizing conditions is illustrated. Keywords
