s,p-dexchange interaction in Cr-based diluted magnetic semiconductors

Abstract
The s,p-d exchange interaction in Cr-based diluted magnetic semiconductors was studied by means of polarized magnetoreflectance and magnetization at T=2 K. The exchange constant N0α-N0β for four different zinc chalcogenides (Zn1x CrxSe, Zn1x Crx Se0.95 S0.05, Zn1x CrxS, and Zn1x CrxTe) was determined. Assuming constant N0α a chemical trend in N0β variation is discussed. © 1996 The American Physical Society.
