Abstract
Two alkene glucosides were isolated from Dangshen (Codonopsis Radix) purchased in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. On the basis of proton and carbon-13 nuclear magnetic resonance spectral data, the structures were characterized as (Z)-3-hexenyl .BETA.-D-glucopyranoside (1) and (E)-2-hexenyl .BETA.-D-glucopyranoside (2).
