EFFECT OF POSTURE ON VENOUS VELOCITY, MEASURED WITH 24NaCl

Abstract
Venous velocities, measured by an injn. of Na24Cl is equal in both legs with subsequent studies showing fluctuation by about 25% of the initial flow rate. The flow rate is halved in the standing or sitting posture and doubled with the subject in the head-downward posture or after vigorous dorsi- and plantar-flexion of the foot.
