Experimental and theoretical study of the dielectric properties of 1-cyanoadamantane; spectrum of the compact crystal from measurements on powder

Abstract
The dielectric properties of 1-cyanoadamantane powder, studied in a wide frequency band (1 kHz-1 GHz), are presented. The authors calculated the dielectric spectra from various equations for mixtures given in the literature. The spectra were established in the static state and extended to the dynamic state. A comparative study between the experimental and calculated spectra confirms the validity of two equations: that of Bottcher (1945) for high volume fractions and that of Looyenga (1965) for small volume fractions. This study allows the authors to deduce the dielectric spectrum of 1-cyanoadamantane compact crystal in the frequency band considered.
