The in vivo and in vitro conversion of chenodeoxycholic acid in the eel was studied. I.Chenodeoxycholic acid-3H injected intraperitoneally into the eel was efficiently converted into cholic acid-H. 2.Chenodeoxycholic acid-3H by 12α hydroxylated activity to cholic acid-3H microsomal fraction of eel liver in vitro
