Hemorrhage into pituitary adenoma with spontaneous recovery and reossification of the sella turcica

Abstract
A case study of a 30-year-old male who recovered spontaneously from an acute hemorrhage into a pituitary adenoma is described. Apparently the bleeding destroyed the tumor but spared enough of the gland for maintenance of normal endocrine function throughout a 7 year observation period- Spontaneous reossification of the sella turcica accompanied clinical improvement.
