Abstract
The Hubbard model is studied by employing a random-potential approximation, which incorporates the effects of magnetic ordering and dynamical processes. Comparison of our results to existing data on one-dimensional systems shows that the present approximation is very accurate over the whole range of values of the physical parameters. Keywords
